Q: Does a person performing Hajj need to perform Qurbani?

A: Qurbani is compulsory upon a Muqeem (resident) and not on a Musafir (traveller).

If a person performing Hajj is a Muqeem in the days of Hajj, then Qurbani is also compulsory on this person. This Qurbani can be performed in the Haram, at home, or anywhere else.

This is apart from the Damm sacrifice of Hajj (for those performing Qiran or Tamattu Hajj).
