Abdullah ibn Umar (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah said, “A servant of Allah made the following Dua. The angels were unsure as to how to record it, so they ascended to the heavens and said: O Allah, your servant has made a statement and we are not sure how to record (his reward). Allah, being All Knowing of what his servant said, replied to them: What did my servant say? The angels replied:

 

يَا رَبِّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ كَمَا يَنْبَغِي لِجَلَالِ وَجْهِكَ وَعَظِيْمِ سُلْطَانِكَ

O Lord, all praise is due to you as befits the majesty of your countenance and the greatness of your majesty

Allah Ta’ala said: Write it down as my servant has said it until he meets me and I will reward him.” (Sunan Ibn Majah)
